For our 70 X resto we need the seal or cover for the ball stud on the engine side that keeps the grease from the z bar inside. I show it as Gm #1375616 or 1363429. Does anyone know a source?

    Jim,

Here's a picture of what you are looking for. Unfortunately, it's not for sale. One of these days it will end up on my X.

The part number on the box is 1363429.

As you know, they are hard to find.

    George,

To the best of my knowledge part 1375616 is the ball stud itself, the one the seal (boot) fits over.

Thanks for the pic Brian. It helps to see one. Hopefully one will show as we are dead in the water on the X resto until we find one. I only wish we had realized earlier that we did not have it. I would have been searching much earlier.

It seems I remember one of the GS guys I know saying he used somthing from a Dodge truck for his ball stud cover...I know Ive never had one in the 20+ years Ive owned my 4 speed...I will try to get ahold of him and reply when I find an answer.

Many thanks if you could do that.

Both part numbers are for the seal:

My original '67 parts book calls out P/N 1375616.
My condensed "Models Thru 1975" book calls out P/N 1363429.

Both part numbers fit the same applications, '67-'72 big block, w/4-speed on floor.
