I have numerous T-400 & T-350 cores. Are you wanting the tail shaft or the extension housing?

Extension housing, short. It needs to allow a 1.78 yoke through.

    Thanks, Paul

    Zip is 81331

I know that the local junk yard has a PILE of transmission cores. What year would this be applicable to?

The transmission is from a 72 wagon, estate. Drive line is going in a 71 GS 455

Gotcha. Will look next trip there. It probably (not sure) will be missing the speedo drive housing. For some reason people have gotten most of those, and off the BOP TH350's as well.

The 400 is a 6 bolt pattern and the 350 is 4. Thanks.

Don't make a special trip, I may have this resolved this week.

So I purchased a 1.685 diameter Yoke and still is too big.
I am in need of a short tail shaft housing for a 400 , preferable the larger inside diameter that accepts a 1.87 Yoke that starts the driveshaft.
    Thanks in advance.

Paul, is there any chance that you have a T-375; these were used in full size cars that had either a 350 engine and/or a towing option, if memory serves me correctly. They are essentially a T-400, with a T-350 output shaft. I believe that they were medium shaft, again, if memory .....

the tranny was attached to a 455 1972 estate wagon I pulled back in 1980.
The tail shaft housing is bolted to the 400 with 6 bolts. 350 transmissions have a 4 bolt pattern tail shafts.
I used the engine in a long gone 71 GS455 (wish I still had)
The transmission was rebuilt by a friend of mine when he was in mechanics school.
the output shaft is larger than any 350 trans I have laying around.
