I want to eventually install A/C back in my 71 GS. All the original stuff is long gone :( Looking at Vintage Air and a few others, but no one makes a Buick compressor mount for their kits, short of a universal kit. Anyone know of a source? I've seen a couple guys have made their own custom mount, but I don't know how well I'd do with a welder, probably make a freakin' mess :Dou:

Craig,I remember a thread discussing this issue a while back.I saw a very nice one on a car and the fellow told me that he used half the original and half of one of the universal type.He did a great job with it,couldn't see the weld.He had the high end Vintage Air unit and was running a Sanden.Someone should make these,I'll bet that they will sell well.Good luck.

Anyone happen to have a picture of one along with key dimensions including bolt hole patten, threads, etc.?

Just browse the parts for sale and look for someone stripping a big car. AC brackets are the same for 455's from 71 to 74 I believe. Just get everything from same year. DOn't kill yourself with aftermarket stuff that will give you headaches.
