    GS Kubisch THE "CUT-UP" BUICK

Reality hit me...For what I have in my Tomahawk, If something were to happen with it,I need to fix it rather than putting in a "spare motor".

Yes. Forgot about the midplate. It's .090 steel and the front is .250 aluminum.
    Both included.

This is a screaming deal, on a top notch build. Seen this motor run several times, has been given more love than most. I tried to buy a year ago, but the Tommy wasn't far enough along and we put our money into a new combo. If not I would be in Medina right now.

hi gary, in line for a friend,
could a TA cover be installed in lieu of that trick setup you have on it now.

  12. GS Kubisch

    GS Kubisch THE "CUT-UP" BUICK

    Yes.
I had an OEM cover on the engine for a while before...
You'd have to come up with a system to mount the oil and vacuum pump.

Gary, do the headers fit with a stock location steering column. How do you run an external water pump?Looking at alternatives or keeping your setup then having to weld plates on the frame for the motor plates. I went with Jesel on my current build in Thumper, The T&D are ok with a roller?

The headers were moved around to accommodate the mid plate. Steering column should go by them like any A-body.

Remote water pump can be plumbed inline, or there is the radiator mounted option that goes where the lower hose would typically go.

I actually like the T&D better than the Jesels. Mine are individual pairs with a sub plate that unlike the Jesel they are held down by all the head bolts, including the ends. 0626182105b.jpg 0626182105a.jpg 1535913902129467894760585759634.jpg

Thanks Gary, I like that T&D setup too. Is the motor still in your car?

    No. It's on a stand.

Last runs were in 2015...I changed the oil, checked the lash and springs, Installed new front coil springs and fresh slicks to get ready for Buick Raceday. We got rained out that year so I took the car out and made a couple runs on a Wednesday night that summer. Soon thereafter I got the call that my fabricator was ready to get to work on the updates I wanted to do for the Tomahawk.
