https://www.ebay.com/itm/1953-Buick...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 I like it cuz like my second car ever was a black super ht. I think this is a special, but can't tell without any emblems. Really like the chevy engine, don't you?!!
I think being a Special and with the mods, they will be lucky to see that price. Easy to tell the difference between the large body and small body in a quick glance on the 53's, the large body still had the heavy body line (modified pontoon styling) and the bolt on rear fenders. I am seeing this as more of a $10-12K car, unfortunately a 53 Special modified by totally taking away the Buick in it probably alienated the ones that would have been interested He is trying to recoup his $4000 bumper money LMFAO
Good looking car, classic kustom style. The engine is a bummer, but he did it with a good look with the finned aluminum bits.

Wonder if my old Super had power steering. I was 20 at the time and had guns, so didn't matter. Now would be a problem!
When you see the two models side by side the difference is staggering. Here is my old Super at a BCA National meet in Richmond Virginia in the very early 90's.
Love the color of your 53, sold mine to buy a 56 Century 2dr ht with that exact same color combo. It had dual Walker glass pacs that made it even better!
Nice car ! Do you still have it and what do you value it at ? Did you repaint it ? Looks like two different colors.
The picture in front of the diner just photographed darker. No I lost it in a divorce not too many years after that picture was taken. At the time I sold it for $17,500
It was glacier blue with the Jordan gray top. This picture was several years after it was sold I saw it for sale again on eBay, the man I sold it to left it sit out much of the time, it’s sickened me. You can actually see some rust on the rear bumper which had been flawless show Crem. The car now resides in Australia
