I am trying to determine the meaning behind the numbers stamped at the bottom of this Body Plate.
I have decoded the common details, 62 Buick Electra Riviera, Built in Linden N.J, Silver Cloth/Vinyl Interior, Silver Cloud Metaillic paint, etc, etc.

But the 1-2 stamped in the lower RH corner, I cannot find an explaination for.

There just happens to be an explanation of these numbers in the latest MCR. As per the letter written- First number is the gate number. The gate was a fixture used in the assembly of the bodies at Fisher. Each series and body style had its own dedicated gates. The second number refers to the shift. This code will show only a 1 or a 2.

That is what I had expected, great to have my suspicions confirmed.
