The intake manifold on my 65 300 2bbl looks quite rough. Carb face is badly pitted and I have already drilled and tapped one of the thermo housing bolts. Is there any interchange for this? I've seen 64 aluminum ones for sale, are they compatable? They look rough too. I'd like to stick with the 2 bbl; don't want to buy a new carb or breather right now. I'll post in the parts wanted once know what I'm looking for. Thanks.

    Where are u located?
    I have a 300 2 barrel intake still on a car.
I would sell it but dont want to ship it.
As far as i know any 300 cast iron intake will work.
    340 intakes are different

I think it would be worth all of $50 bucks. Now if I could just get you to ship it........;)

Shipping would be more than the intake is worth im afraid

I agree, it is heavy. I've cleaned out the pitted depression on the carb mount face and filled it with JB Weld. I'll look for a thicker gasket and see what happens. Thanks.

I've got an aluminum 2bbl manifold that I PMed you about--just another option available to consider.

Thanks, I've decided to repair the one I have. Besides I hear the aluminum is for 64 and you can only use it with the aluminum heads?

Oh nice! I have heard it both ways, I imagine you would need to gasket match at the very least but how much difference can there really be other than the runner size?
