This is it's third round on eBay. First was bid to 23k, second was 19k. It's listed elsewhere online for 44k by a dealer: https://www.classicautomall.com/vehicles?q[make_eq]=Buick I hear the 'Classic Auto Mall' is a neat place to visit. It's an old shopping mall turned into a collector car mecca with museum, consignment, storage and event center. 8 acres under cover on the 40 acre property. Located in Morgantown, Pa.
I bid on a MG with a Buick 300 not too long ago that they had. It go a little beyond what I wanted to pay and never met the reserve. I thought it would not be too far away if I got it. I think they should have been happy with either of the previous auctions for that 65. The market is setting a decent price. I wouldn't go over 15 for that car and I am someone that think manuals are fantastic. Cheryl
The asking price of 44k is certainly optimistic to say the least, but ya gotta start somewhere. eBay is still a great advertising medium, as well as being useful for a price check. I have no idea what the reserve is at this point, would expect it to be more realistic than where they started. It's a neat car, but the workmanship (paint, frame repairs, undercarriage, etc)and incorrect parts kills the value. The bidding, for the most part, reflects the real value. Hope it finds a good home.
And the non-original 66 MT engine, no ac and not inspected since 2011 (sticker expired in 5-12) also knocks it down in my eyes.
