George, I think the price has come down to $34,500!!!! Claims to have the protecto plate but said it was probably a dealer installed option. Also has many photos from the frame off resto! It still seems pretty high for that car??? Mike

65 Gs Yep .... sold it last year . Big mistake . I bought the car from Harley (Larkone) , did a bunch of work to it , was offered more than I thought it was worth so sold it . Big mistake , as a matter of fact I called the guy I sold it to today , left a message that I want to buy it back . So we will see . Thanks for the picture , George

George just got my new hemmings motor news today,and on page 98 there is a auction on april 22 thru the 24 in Novi, Michigan, THERE'S A 65 POST GRAN SPORT!! can't tell the color of it, but the tail pipe at the rear bumper looks like the one i had installed on the car you bought from me, and it's got the blackwall tires you put on/?? could it be the old gran sport?? o No: here's the auction web site.www.rmauctions.com just went to the web page it said frame off resto??? it has the dual quad set up and it's red , :3gears: their you go George you can own it again. factory installed dual quads?? 65 Gs Harle , There is no doubt that's our car . Frame off ? I can tell by the perfect air cleaner ( I had new snorkles fabricated ) , the floor mats , and the background . The guy that bought it is in a sub only about 4 miles from here and I can tell by the pictures that's the sub . But I had called him , left a message , and said I wanted to buy the car back . I wonder how much he want's for it ? Maybe he thinks because he saw some of those other GS's on Ebay for $27,000 to $35,000 he can get that much for that one . Problem is none of them sold for that price . That's just stretching it for a 65 GS . Now if it were frame off , 4 - speed , dual quad , coupe , then you might be looking at some money . I'm going to check it out . Maybe there's a way it will find it's way home . Until then I'll keep working on my GTO . Thanks for letting me know , George

65 Gs Harle , I contacted RM Auctions and there is a reserve on the car . They would not tell me exactly what it was but they said it would be between $23 and $26,000 . I asked about the frame off restoration and they said to the best of their knowledge it was . I then asked if they have receipts and they said no . I didn't tell them it was my car . Seems to me it will have a tough time going at that price if anyone really knows cars and looks it over . Unless I'm kidding myself and the 65 GS Skylark is going up in value like there's no tomorrow . I'll let you know , think I'll go and see what it sell's for or see if they lift the reserve and I can steal it back . George
