I've searched the forum and can't find any information about backspacing on my optional 15x7 big car rims. These came optional on Electras, Rivieras, Wildcats, and Estate Wagons. Does anyone know the backspacing that came on these rims? I am about to purchase 15x8 rims and tires and I'm trying to land close to the original specification. It's coming up as the 853 wheel on the first sticky of The Hides. Is this the same wheel? That wheel is a 15x6, which is not the same that I have based simply on width.
Why don’t you pull a wheel and measure the BS yourself. Very simple to do. Are you sure they are 7” wide? The big car 7” wheels were made from 80-87. They had 4 1/4” BS. Check your wheel codes. http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?attachments/wheelchart-jpg.158600/
