    Hi:
I am completing a 4 yr resto on my very original '66 Riviera GS. Original 425 (60k) runs great (added EZ_EFI -story for another post) and the chassis is super clean so I did not pay much attention to it until now. With body and interior done it is now time to attend to the steering and chassis. Oh, almost forgot, had to install a brand new rear-end, Strange, 3.55 posi, pricey but awesome.

Anyway, I am looking to source body mounts. OPGI has '63-'65 and '67-70 but no '66. Is this another example of the one year only nature of my beloved '66?

    Can anyone assist?
    Thanks, Paul

No one makes mounts that match the originals. 67 mounts certainly would be same as 66. Ordering these from OPGI is a crap shoot but if you try report back on how it went.

CARS oldbuickparts.com has the smaller mounts for rad support and 4 behind axle but not by application. You need to order by size bu tif you call they may know what size you need. Regardless you need to have an idea what size yours are.

The biggest problem is the 4 up front at firewall and the 2 over the axle are large diameter at 2-7/8" no one makes those. These are large for a reason. Most original mounts up front are significantly compressed compared to all other mounts on car because the closest mount to them is over the rear axle and this is a big HEAVY body especially on option laden cars.
Classic Buicks lists a mount kit for the 66 but diameter is smaller on these 6 big ones and the mounts for the rear are too thick/tall and must be cut down but you can make it work. I made the big mounts by machining $2 hockey pucks down and bought the others from CARS.

The CARS sister site has a good selection of mounts. Might be easier to find custom sizes.

Jason, did you look for mounts at Steele rubber and Restoration Specialties?
