C`mon guys no one knows of any or has a `67 GS 400 4-speed convertible for sale?i`m willing to pay up to $22,000 for one depending on its condition and originality, prefer one thats in good shape to excellent, not interested in a project car, please email me staged67gspwr@aol.com Thanks
Rick,it was a project,it needed paint, the trunk had rust and it did not have the original 400 in it it had a 430,seat covers looked like some custom peices,so who knows what else was not original, and he did not want to negotiate on the price when i told him about these issues. Thanks
Hey George, Well you don't have to worry about me anymore looking for the same car. I got my 4 speed but not a convert. However, I still have "some lines in the water" and if anything comes up I'll let you know! Cheers :beer Harvey
George, 2 summers ago I spotted that exact car here in Fargo, just a couple blocks from my house, parked on the street with the top down. I hung around for awhile, but no one came out of any house to see what I was up to. If I spot it again, I'll try to talk to the owner. I don't recall seeing a single thing wrong with it. No idea of the drivetrain though.
Rick shifter knob My muncie 4 spd has the black ball on it. It has the T lever that pulls up and had a console. Ed Hows the yellow (?) 4 speed coming along?
Harv, thanks dude i appreciate it. :beer David, which car are you refering about?did you see a 4-speed conv`t.?if so you ever see it yes please let me know. Thanks
Yes sir, it was a black 67 GS400 'vert 4spd. Either an older restoration, or very nice original condition, I think. I don't recall seeing any obvious flaws, nice (red?) interior, beautiful black paint, very clean. No idea under the hood. It had MN plates, but MN is just across the river here, so it may have been a local car. Wish I would have taken pictures. I haven't seen it in any local car shows yet. I'll get contact info for you if I ever come across it again, and can find the owner. :3gears: :TU:
Thanks David i really appreciate it very much, sheesh never thought it be such a challenge to find one, seems like whoever owns one doesnt wanna sell it. Thanks
George, ya better hope I don't win the lottery before I come across that car again...  p p :bglasses:
David,do you think anyone else on this board that lives around that area might know who it is? Thanks
67 vert I got an E mail this morning from a guy wanting to sell his 67 GS 400 convertible, except it is an automatic. Told him to get back to me with a price... he says S Cal car, 150K, a/c, etc... I'll hopefully here back from him today. JKC
got pics on that car,the whole thing is bondo`d up bad and doors, quarters were patched and rust in the frame rusting from inside out pretty bad,i`ll pass. Thanks
I don't know George.... I think you missed the boat on that one man. With a $22K budget, you could have done alot to that car pretty quickly. I mean..... if you had just started looking for your 4spd vert, it would be a different story.... but you've been looking FOREVER. I would have jumped on it. $6K for the car leaves $16K to play with. You can get one heck of a body and interior overhaul for that. Interiors aren't that expensive (couple/few grand for everything?) and that leaves quite a bit for bodywork. o No: Oh well.. it's your cash and your search for the holy grail. With your persistance, I'm sure you'll find "the one"! :TU: :beer
