I'd like to discuss the suspension parts of these cars.
I have the stock front and rear springs installed on a boxed frame stock front upper and lower, boxed rear lower, stock rear upper.
looking to get more then just stock replacement.
I'm going for adjustable rear upper control.
    that's an easy one.
how do I get my front end weight?
do I change just the springs or upgrade to coil over.
looking for front and rear advice.
chime in on what you've done, plan to do
    or just your individual opinion.

First question - what are you going to do with the car? Next question - what is your budget (or how much do you want to spend)?

street / strip. budget is open. I saw QA1 coil overs at 500.00 not out of the question if its worth it. I also saw JW has some too, H
don't want to waste money with no reward. If its just a set of MOOG springs or UMI or ...
It's not a race car and not a daily driver.

The front coil over conversions aren't ideal for a strip car, I'd stick with a standard type spring and Viking shocks on all corners . Rear suspension if you got a nice budget Metco is hard to beat, as is HanR , if you don't mind a more track oriented component then TRZ is the best. UPR has the Johnny Joint housing bushing that really allow everything to articulate like it needs. Front suspension imo Global West is the best bang for the buck

I went from the original 400 to the 455, is there enough weight change to warrant a stiffer spring in front ?
The back end sags a lot. I would like a better stance then stock.

No unless you are comparing an iron engine to an aluminum head/intake setup

340/4, 67 flat top Wagon - I use cargo springs on the back - lifted it up to were the rocker is level. Rides nice too! Big sway bars front and rear and it corners like a go-kart. KYB shocks. Fast ratio steering box is next.

Good advice. Close to my setup and it works well. I like Currie in the back.

I have the KYB and the big sway bar and the quick ratio. Just need the right spring.
Do you have more detail on the cargo springs
And that being a wagon. I’m sure the rear weighs more. ???

just swapped in a set of UMI 2" drop springs in my 66 with a stock 300(for now) and it made a huge difference in the way the car looks. Also tightened it up a lot with the better spring rate. In the process of doing the F-body sway bar from my 70 Camaro with the Z28 bar. Used southside lowers in the rear with a set of adjustable BMR bars for uppers. Going to a hotchkis rear bar too. Haven't gotten it all on yet so the verdict is still out but everything so far has done exactly what I asked of it!

I ordered the MOOG cc501 rear springs, heavy duty and should give a inch taller stance. I also ordered the UMI rear lower and upper adjustable control arms.
Also the TA no hop bars. today the 1451 HR parts & stuff anti sway / anti roll bar system .
I should have done all this while the body was off but I was just rebuilding the car at that point.
then the drive train happened. this should be more then enough for anything I throw at it.
I'll revisit the front after all this is done but still open to recommendations

UMI parts are an excellent choice. Been very happy with my setup so far. What is the spring rate for the Moog cc501 rear springs?
