What was the production numbers on that optioned car. I could look it up but you probably know it right off the top of your head. I like that almost better than a 396 car. Much more rare and love the wheels....

There is no sweeter sound than a healthy 3 inch stroke small block Chevy winding it up. Beautiful car, excapt................Do you really like those wheels? Looks like something out of Ben Hur to me. Are those wheels or hubcap/wheel covers? YUK.

I hate to admit it but yeah I like the hubcaps, I saw them on the earlier Malibu's too. Can you imagine who would design them babies. They are so diffrent that I can't not like them....

OOOPS, my sorry. Was thinking of the 302. We bored my 60 283 Vette out .125 and made a 301 out of it. Man did that thing fly with the 30-30 Duntov, Jahns 12.5 to 1's and an aluminum flywheel for quick revving.

One of our club members has a special order (via Yenko) '69 L78 Nova (later got a Yenko L88) that has those covers on it...it's the Cadillac colored "Firemist Nutmeg Metallic" car I mentioned in another thread. Quite the combo...

Look like 1967 Dodge A and B-body full wheel covers to me. That might explain why you don't like them?? The two were almost identical except for the center cap. Both equally ugly in my book too!

But that is a beautiful car. I'm a sucker for blue interior cars, and this one rates right up there! A little out of my price league! :eek2:

That's a Super Sport only hood, isn't it?

Damn! That is a real nice car. When I first looked it up I didn't look at the bids.I thought if this car is cheap you could drop a BB in it and you would have a money maker. Then I saw the bids.Yikes!BB price too.Anyway.Super nice as is.
    Take care.

Andy's right - there was a L79 car out of Nebraska or something like that.

Wasn't the '67 supposed to have 325hp? I think they made about 4000 in all bodystyles. I'd rather have a post coupe over this Malibu, although I bet the bulk were built like this one.
