Going to paint the plastic portion of my console side plastic medium blue to match my blue interior , the question I have is do I leave the black around the tach area and the black stripe that goes around the top of the chrome or does that get painted blue? Thanks.

Jon, that looks fantastic! Mine should be the same but blue. Have any recommendations on what type paint to use on that plastic?

Also what did you use to clean the center ribbed area with or did you paint that as well?

I did not paint the center. I just used a good quality metal polish like blue magic some old rags and an old toothbrush works great. The paint I used is the SEM brand of vinyl spray paints its really good quality paint. I was lucky that they have a red that was super close to the factory color. I'm not sure what blues they have but I'm sure you could google it..

Jon, that looks terrific, I checked out that paint SEM for vinyl and I think I will go that route as I can see the results!!

Also Chi-Town 67 that flocked area is awesome, never thought of that. My console is a little worn but I like things perfect so when I'm ready I will try that too. Thanks!!
