Saw this Wildcat this morning ... they are trying to sell the entire car ... it says 'Make An Offer'.

The odometer shows 75K miles and the seats had Grandmas clear plastic vinyl covers - very nice seats actually.

OK V-8 Buick People: If this car is half as good as it looks in the pictures it's really worth considering. Say, it's klunked out. This car with a fresh 430 or a 455 and some color that matches the interior can be quite a fantastic driver. It's got a/c too. I believe a young family that wants to get into this hobby would do well with this car. It ain't a coupe or convert. So *&%#@%' what!

Don't forget it's says best offer. Mitch

It looks very solid, a quick fix for sure; - nice option load too. It's a deal at that price, even if it doesn't run.

And given it's location think of the body work that doesn't have to be done.

Well...it's a base model 4 dr sedan and the option list I see is the A/C. With 75k miles that's in the range that the 430 often lost #7 rod bearing. Underbody rust is probably minimal and somebody with mechanical and paint skills could probably do OK.

    - and if it was closer I'd have it in my stable, repainted a nice maroon, rust-proofed as much as possible and overhauled, and I'd use it as a daily driver. You just don't find "gimme" deals like this anymore, even though it's a 4 door, it still has the cojones to fly and would be a heck of a lot of fun to own.

OK Mark: I agree. If that engine were built right and this car was mechanically really sound it would be a really great driver.....if you could afford it. Gas here in California is $2.40-$2,50 per US gallon and if one puts on 50 or 75 miles a week it's a bit of fun that helps takes the edge off life. In your case you'd need to also factor a transportation issue and possibly a title issue into the purchase price. Sometimes even for free it's financially not a great idea but who said we can't dream? Mitch

I'd say keep the patina, clean the interior, and only do the motor (if needed)

I used to drive a 67 LeSabre about 8 years ago as a daily driver. Gas up here has been over $4.00 US for a long time, and while it's a bit more expensive to run, it's not all that much worse than a 5 year old pick-up is. I still love those old cars, and yes, even in winter, they had pretty good heaters and while they can be hairy on ice and snow, once you know how to winter drive it, you can pretty much drive anything on ice and snow. I've always found big Buicks to be remarkably sure-footed on ice and snow. Don't stop too well though, they're pretty heavy. I can say in the 25 years that I winter drove one, I never put on in the ditch or hit someone.

I thought about leaving the patina, but it would just look better fixed up and extensively rust-proofed. My modern car and my two convertibles have spoiled me. With as much salt as they use around here that thing would dissolve like a shipwreck inside a year unless it was extensively POR-15ed and undercoated with plastic.

And yes, to get it here would not be worth it; there's the title issue, along with transport and whatever the Canadian government decides to extort off of me at the border. I can easily see this car costing me about $5000 to $7000 CDN to get it up here. For that kind of money I can buy what passes for acceptable around here, the standard calibre "restored" Buick (a bondo-buggy with a badly-shoveled-in Chevy motor).

Hopefully someone buys it and saves it from an ignominious end.

Come on everyone! It comes with a picture of Britney Spears. Why would anyone not see this for the steal that it is? Lol!
