It’s definitely a parts car; I wouldn’t use it for anything else. Too bad the rocker trim and the fender gills are in such bad shape. Those are 1 year parts and hella hard to find in decent condition.

There isn't 2000 in parts on that car if they keep the eng/trans. They must be on crack.

I'd love to have the A/C, the power locks, and the cornering lights for my convertible. The AM/FM radio in it isn't bad either. Spare grills and bumpers are always good things to have in stock. Where is that place? Probably too far to think about shipping, considering Alberta might as well be on the moon as compared to most places in the US.
That would have been a very nice car back in its day, too bad it was allowed to rot. In another couple of years it might actually be worth saving, who knows.

Benton Harbor is in S.W. Michigan, which explains all the rust.

I can’t see where this car ever was equipped with A/C. Unless he’s talking about the air conditioned floors and fenders.

You can plainly see the a/c vents And also the lack of air vent knobs

I caught that. The engine shot doesn’t have any of the associated A/C hardware mine does, and it’s factory. There might be the mounting base to the outside of the alternator, but no evaporator box or refrigerant hardlines are visible. Also, the fan blade looks to be peeking out on the drivers side; it’d be covered under the fan shroud. Either they took everything out, or I’m missing something.

I realized I dont think I've ever run across another 67 cat with pwr locks .I've see all the other options this car has but even most loaded ones didn't get that option.Ive also not seen those hubcaps on a 67 before? what year are they?
To me it was a air car just it was all removed under the hood, along with correct air cleaner, per antenna, skirts and probably a lot more.
Shame as in its day was a nice car

Hey Marc a chrome horn center again. (you knew I wouldn't miss that lol)

Yes, it's an A/C car, the compressor is gone but the brackets are still there and it looks like the hoses are tucked into the wheel well.
I've never seen the power locks on another 67 either; they're vacuum operated and probably leak. That also means it probably does have the "power" (vacuum) trunk too. The A/C might be thermostatic climate control, so that's one lever. So this thing has quite the options load on it. I'd buy it outright if I had a coupe, or if my interior was originally black. But I've got neither. And yes Roy, I noticed the chrome centre ring too, something else unique.
So coming from the "rust belt", I assume the frame is probably shaled out and beyond repair. It has all the rust in the right places though, and a Maaco "splash & dash" paint-job on it. Notice in the yard he's got a 68 Electra parked next to it and from what I can see, a late 60s Rivi (in battered blue) just beyond that. There's a yellow Cutlass in the picture too, but that looks like early 70s and it looks to be in pretty good shape. So I wonder what this guy's story is, and why he wants to get rid of it.

So in 1967 did the mid 60s models have the AC compressor on the drivers side like a chevy? Something ain't Kosher there... ws

You're right about that, somethings not kosher. The A/C compressor would be on the pass. side next to the Alt. Why or how those A/C lines got jammed up against the drivers side wheel well is a mystery. And I never could figure out why Chevy mounted their A/C compressors on the opposite side of the evap box. Kinda goofy I think.

Looks like someone bent all of that crap over, why I have no idea. I suppose since it entered around the middle of the dash it made no real difference, who knows what the guy was thinking. The fact that this thing is a wreck demonstrates that someone wasn't very clear in his thinking. Could it be the partial remnants of the AIR pump? Could this be a California car?

Well Mr. Taylor, you sure do have a highly optioned Wildcat, and it's definitely worth fixing it up, provided the frame isn't a Swiss cheese.
Maybe you could provide a few more details as to the condition of the underbody, - might help you get rid of it. If I was closer and lived in the US, I'd have bought it already.
That car comes from the same plant my two do, and they built good cars there.
