Hello Duane, i am equipping my 70 gs 350 and 69 gs 400 with four speed and console.. Will these work with console and if it does how much for two of them if you have any left? Thankyou Randy
Duane- Do you have a drawing of the flat blank you cut the aluminum out of? I know you're a CAD guy. If so, could you please send it to kenlisk@optonline.net? I have an idea....
Ken, I do not have the actual "flat" metal size of the part. But I can send you a paper sketch of what I start with. I start out with a ring of metal that is oversized on both the inside and the outside. Then once the ring is formed, I trim the extra metal off both the inside and outside. Then take out the distortions from trimming it, and finish the part. Let me know if you want this. Duane
I'll take whatever you have, Duane. I'm thinking possibly wire edm flat blanks and then rig up something with matched radiused rollers- like an english wheel to give the cross sectional arc and allow for some of the hand forming of the perimeter forms. It's a pretty complex shape around the perimeter, but I'm willing to give it a shot. No promises other than I'll try!
Thanks Duane for the quality part. It is exceptional in every way. You guys will be amazed with his work. :eek2:
Duane can you make anymore of these parts? I have a four speed hump now that is a little out of wack.. This would be a great way to straighten it out.. Let me know I will definally take one if you can make it..Thankyou Randy
Randy, I will let you know, but I believe I am now out of the 68-72 4-speed lower shifter boot-retaining ring business. Duane PS. I am going to totally ignore any more posts on this thread.
