One of the center caps off of my rally wheels diappeared and i was wondering if anybody has a spare. This is the type of wheel that has the trim ring. Center cap is chrome with Buick Tri emblem. Thanks ED K

    gs4u2c Is that a 442?

Are you talking for the 67-68 disc brake rally wheel? If so I'm pretty sure they have one or two at All-American Classics auto wrecking in Vancouver, WA. They're spendy though.

Ok, the trim ring thing threw me. Do you have later model wheels on it?

According to the paper work these were the original wheels that the car came with. Some of the other members have the same ones on their 68"s..I might find something on ebay. ED K

This is a hubcap for the disc brake rally wheels, which are basically Chevy 14x6 rally wheels with trim rings. The hub portion is the same as a 67 Chev disc brake hub, but the center cap was the big buick ribbed cap. Is this what you're looking for? If so, that's what they have.

    Good Luck,

    Ed,

If you are looking for the "ribbed" tri-shield cap for your wheels you can buy a very nice reproduction from Mitch Romanowski. I don't have a contact for him in front of me but I am sure we can put you in contact with him quickly. I think his repro caps are around $35-$40 each and they are very nice:TU:

The ralley wheels you have on your car are unique to 1968. They should have a chrome center with a painted outer rim that is covered by a trim ring. They are very similar to the Buick Super Sport wheel, but the Super Sport wheel is painted in the center.

Do you have any documentation on these wheels like sales code / UPC numbers or anything. They do show up in the Buick parts book but I have never found out why they were used in place of the all chrome wheel :Do No: I have the original order sheet for my '68 GS and it shows that it was ordered with the all chrome wheels but my build sheet shows that it came with the trim ring style wheels :Do No: This style of wheel is kind of a mystery.
