'68 GS 350 4-sp

    Owner sent me this orig. Invoice so it is an orig. 4-sp. car despite the ad's wording (must've been referring to the handle) and a bona-fide stripper. Unfortunately the data tag is missing. Supposedly car was orig. Red. He'll be lucky to get ½ the asking price. I like 350 4-sp cars and factory manual steering/strippers but w/o the data tag don't think I'd buy it for even ½ the price & even if I was in the market for a car (I'm not).     111FE181-0373-4E84-A76B-26ED5BC852C1.jpeg Not to say it can’t be done if you are VERY careful to clean “the booth” first wetting it down & squeegeeing the floor allowing the paint to cure in sun several weeks followed by wet sanding out all the hopefully small dust “nibs” but that dropped plastic paint booth the car was painted in isn’t inspiring a lot of confidence without seeing the car closely in person.
    That said that is how my 70 Stage 1 non a/c 4-speed was done and after wet sanding it was a 10 out of 10 black paint job. No data plate though? Better than no VIN but not much better.
    Cool car though and nice paperwork

    Car has been for sale for quite a while at many different prices. He told me that the car was blue and he painted it black but did not paint the door jams
