Not real sure on why, but all the ones I've seen sit a little high. The one thing I've noticed is even from new they sat a little higher in the front. Now the GS is a different story, with "F-41" option they did sit lower then the Skylark. The springs were stiffer and heavy front and rear sway bars, AL.
