Looking to make it a deuce sleeper and a turnpike cruiser.
    I have a 71 455 block and a nice set of ported 70 stage 1 heads.
Will keep the stock 2.78 posi rear.
    Add a drive shaft loop.
Pull the stock original 430 motor and put it up for now.
    Build the 455 motor.
    I have a osbourn quad.
    B4B intake.
TCI break away converter with ballooning plate.
Stock ported exhaust manifolds 2 1/2 dual exhaust.
Not sure on cam selection yet.
Want to run this car at the drag strip and in the stock appearing class one day.
Hopefully it will hook on stock radials.
I will post some picture's of it soon.

While you're hunting for bits, look around for a 65-67 Turbo 400 transmission with the switch pitch; it will wake that 455 up even more. I have one in my 67 Cat and it is a lot of fun to drive, far more responsive and power-band friendly than the regular one I used to have in a 69 Cat that I did in a similar fashion to what you're doing. I had a 1970 455 which I built to Stage 1 spec (this was the late 80s when parts were tough) and the big difference between your build and mine was that I had a 2.45 axle, a one year only thing for 1969. The car was good for 145 mph, and when it hooked up, it would still pull rubber into second. But it could have used that switch pitch to ensure that it always hooked up, which was hit-and-miss at the best of times. My 67 Cat has the 3.08 axle and it's much quicker off the line than the 69 was. It just uses a ton more gas on the highway. For highway I use the 66 Electra with a 401 and 2.78 posi, it's a lot more forgiving on fuel and it will hold it's own against most modern stuff.
