i have a 69 skylark hardtop with new black interior. i am thinking of painting the car black and eliminating the side molding, fender trims and shaving the door handles....any suggestions on color for the car? i was thinking a deep black...thoughts?

I have a 69 Skylark too. Dropped off my "new" hood and front fenders off at the body shop today..they were media blasted. I will be doing the front clip in prime -seal for now. I am going to black out the interior and am udecided on the exterior but a dark Navy blue would be nice. Same situation on the a/c...has some charge and copmressors kicks just no cold air yet. A nice black car looks good! Two things. 1) The body better be perfect. 2) It's just about impossible to drive more than a block and have it look freshly washed. My 69 has old orange paint. It will be orange when it's fresh again. That's what I was going to do with my 65. I like a color that stands out from a distance!
green...not sure about that one. black is def an easy color to get dirty....i think it would look awesome with black boss 338 wheels on it to. i was thinking of getting fiberglass bumpers from tamraz's to paint black as well. when i visual it, it looks crazy-bad!!
I am going TRIPPLE BLACK and yes the AC will blow COLD, my other choice was red . Your blue looks good in the picture. Good luck! :beers2: Tony
