Looking for a correct 70 455 hold off valve. Anything for sale is much appreciated. Thanks

    Hi Mike!

These are re-popped IF you can find a nice original...…..

I get them from Inline Tube / $85 (In stock)

Is this the distribution block on the frame by the firewall? If so , I just removed an original from my '70 Skylark along with the drum assemblies, new hoses and a reman MC. JIM

Jim, this takes the place of the distribution block on the frame. My current set up is a 71/72 style frame mounted distribution block. I want to go with the 70 style hold off and MC.
Your post says on the frame by the firewall? Not sure what you meant?
Thanks Todd, if I must go that route I will get with you.

Todd, that doesn't look like the 70 style hold off?

1970 has two valves for disc brakes. The one down on the frame is the same for drum & disc. The 2nd one for disc is mounted on the driver’s side of the master cylinder, and looks like the repop pictured above. 1970 had a slightly different appearance compared to 68 & 69.

If I currently have a 71/72 MC and a prop valve on the frame, do I need the hold off/metering valve and leave the prop valve on the frame?
I am wanting to get rid of it, or at least move it as it is too close to the header.

If you're running a 71/72 proportioning valve and m.c. you should be good. ( other than appearance for 1970......)

The distribution block I removed from my 70 is for a drum brake car....I'm upgrading to discs in the front and using a prop valve for 71 up with the hold-off on the valve itself. Part # 102 , I believe from Inline Tube or Todd Miller, board member.
I can take and post pics this evening, but bear in mind , block is for a drum/drum car.....Jim

Thanks Jim, no need to post. I was hoping to remove the prop valve on my frame by going with the 70 disc set up but it looks as though I need one there whether running the current set up which is a 71/72 and no hold off or running the 70 disc set up with a hold off at the MC.

5B32DBA3-6C6C-4873-8BEF-4056AA8C172F.jpeg Just move the one on the frame up on top of the frame. There is enough existing brake line to allow for that without having to replace anything.
    Something like this,but nicer.

Fab one that drops it lower because your existing lower lines won’t reach.

I have a roll control/line lock installed behind the booster . The only line that won't reach is the rear brake line. I am plumbing one of these where the existing line ends and adding a new piece from there to prop valve. Easy peezy..... 2019-12-12 07.20.02.jpg Bracket I made for prop valve. Pt # PR102 .
Should be pretty tidy when I'm done........Jim
