So Many Sweet Rides!! Congrats to all you guys. I was happy to see so many sweet Buicks in such pristine condition. I was also very jealous of most of the cars above. They make mine look like junk! I bought mine in 1987 when I was 19 and haven't bought another street car since! It had a factory four barrel, a/c, speed alert, sonomatic and the black Kenora Cloth interior (anybody have that?). I rebuilt the 350 at 119K with some mods and I drove it until 1995 when she was so rusty that she should have been junked. I was in love and ingorant of what it would cost to bring her back so started the restoration. Then I started circle track racing and put the Buick in storage. Since then it has been race cars and work vans until I quit racing in 2002. Then it was time to finish my Buick. After a ten year $20K frame off restoration it's back on the road. I'm not happy with the acceleration but I have to say my brakes are awesome. I put front discs on in '88 but they never worked like they do now. In 2004 I put the raybestos cross drilled and slotted rotors (brutestop) and PGD52R pads and a 1" bore master cyl with synthetic brake fluid and stock drums on the rear and now my Buick stops on a dime! I also like the TH2004r - 3.73 posi combo. I get something like 2200rpm at 70mph Future plans are for more power... much more power. Sick power. Passengers must wear diapers kind of power... Here's the before pic...
Black is my favorite sweet car zilller.... I have to say that These 70-72 cars don't look better in any other color. There's another awesome black one owner 455 car in MA a couple pages back that I WANT!!! Andy
