This has to be one of the best visual arguements for leaving a brown car brown that I have seen. I love it! :bglasses:
What can Brown do for you?? Very clean and pretty car. I can see the attention and time spent to details. It's nice to see I'm not the only crazy person out there putting money into a regular skylark. You don't see the chrome under the side windows too much. Was it an option or was it random? What is your buildup on the engine and drivetrain? What did you gain from the ram air setup?
Andy, Thanks for the comments, I sent you a PM. If there is anything else you would like to know about my Skylark just ask. I don't know about the chrome,I never looked into it. I don't know what I gained with the ram air style intake I made, I added it after the rebuild, before I went racing, I know it does'nt hurt! :Smarty:
72 Skylark Custom Finally got my 'lark out of paint! Just in time for a cold winter sitting in the garage... :ball: Still plenty of detail work to be done, plus the interior, but a far cry from where she was! Hugs and Handpounds to the v8buick gang, your input was extremely helpful! :TU: Some before and after for your enjoyment!
Steve, could you please post your wheel/tire specs... I would like to know the size, backspacing, etc. That is the perfect look IMO!
Wheels I would need to look them up to be positive, but I know that the rear are 15x8" with (I believe) 4 1/2" back spacing. The front are 5" and I don't remember the back spacing. The rear tires in that picture are the MT's DOT slicks. I think they are 13.5 x 30". (Rated as a street tire size, not a slick) If you need the exact sizes on all, I would need to check the car. If I get time I will try to do that. Thanks!! Steve
