I've asked a couple of metal fab companies if they are going to make a reproduction steel fender and they all tell me the same thing, no time in the near future were we planning on making fenders for 70-72 skylarks. Has anyone heard of any in the making?
AMD could not sell enough quarters to justify making the more complex fenders. I, and some others, still have NOS fenders for sale. There is not that much demand for those either.
Seems like that's gonna be a big problem one day. Car is totaled because it needs a fender, and there isn't one to be found..
Yes and when they do total it someone will buy it cheap and install the new or excellent fenders they have horded but I do not know those guys
you can have this RF one shipped via Greyhound Bus for $165. NM to NC. certainly not perfect but not a rotten mess either.
Yes I have several NOS 70-72 fenders both outer and inner for sale. AlsoI think the missing link in this thread is that if they were reproduced they will cost 500- 1000 dollars each. Look at core supports which are reproduced. They cost the same as the NOS one I have for sale.
you are probably right about repo fenders costing too much, just frustrating trying to find some decent fenders in the Midwest. don't want to buy fiberglass if I can avoid it. I will just keep my eyes open.
I have a NOS pair in Minnesota you can pick up or perhaps a deal could be worked out for these to be shipped. But crating and trucking would cost a bit.
