Hello, we are toying with the idea of making the 70-72 GS Ram Air hood. Does anyone have one to sell us. It can be pretty rough---> rusty, hood pin holes, dents, dings, etc. We just need one to use to get a quote on.

    Thanks Again... :TU:

Shane, I've got one that's rather rusty but straight. I get down to South Elgin every two weeks or so for work. Perhaps we could work something out?
I'll PM you with more info.

I will take at least one :)

How hard would it be to Reproduce the center stainless for your 70 GS grilles?

    Thanks

I will name my first born SHANE if you make that hood and keep it reasonably priced so I don't have to sell the kid to afford it!

well, what the hell, if you can buy a 69 camaro out of a box...

what the hell, if you can buy a 69 camaro out of a box...why not dilute the BUICK gene pool of authenticity?

I find it hard to think ThePartsPlace needs to buy a random hood to get this project off the ground :Do No:

Ouch and i just not to long ago chucked 3 gs hoods into the trash, 2 straight but rusty ones and one that was hit but the center scoop portion was good. Maybe someone could send a straight skylark hood and you guys could go from there, maybe use a fiberglass gs hood to get dimensions as well.

I think it would be a good seller, biggest point with sheetmetal is make it fit properly. Assuming it would be 70 style with some way of adding 71/72 pop up spring?

    gs hood

good point tim ,but it would probably be better to make the accomadations for the pop up springs.the 70 guys can just take the spring off.

Yes but then the 70 guys would have an "incorrect" hood (due to the way the spring has to attach) and you know how those 70 guys are...
