Well...I'm knee deep in this now and thought I would share the progress:

WHAT: Front Clip and Motor Rebuild Project
GOAL: Smooth running, leak free, smoke free, rust free DRIVER
PROCESS: Replace rusted front end sheet metal, and pull the 350 to be refreshened. Side projects include brake booster and master cylinder repainting, inner fender restoring, front fender body work
TIMEFRAME: Project started Feb 2011 and I hope to be back together in September. Car won't be painted at this point. (Aggressive, I know.)

This isn't a concours restoration but I want to make it correct, I'll clean, scrape and repaint what I can get to and make it as close to original as i can. This project is from the firewall forward. The car already has a nice interior and solid floors and trunk. (Thanks Mr. Gentner for the sale - this is a nice car to start with.)

Your firewall/engine compartment is in great shape for a northeastern car. I bet a lot of guys on this board wished they had one that clean to start with. :TU:

Couple of shots of the updates. New shocks are in and I painted what I could, plus everything is being put back on the firewall, except the markings. I'm still practicing on that.

Again this is not a concourse, but I want to stop any rust or rot along the way.

Wish me luck. Motor comes back Nov. 19.
