Anyone have any luck hanging a TA Performance 2.5" exhaust using the original style hangers - in particular the hangers at the rear of the mufflers, forward of the axle? Seems like the hanger isn't low enough and the ones supplied in the kit aren't any longer, but I'm working on jack stands so just tring to figure out if I'm missing something or I need to customize the hanger. Thanks, Tom

I have hung 2.5” and 3” systems with those factory style hangers. It tucks up very nice.

Thanks Brian. I've got one side roughed in, hoping to finish up today. We're you using the TA setup and 20" mufflers? Thanks, Tom

    Yes.,for the 2.5”.
The 3” kit is a Torque Tech.

Be sure NOT to use the rubber straps that come with the factory-style hangers, as the 2.5" exhaust pipes are significantly heavier. If memory serves, I've used the thicker rubber straps that come with the TA pipes with the factory hangers.

With a brand-new TA 2.5" exhaust system and brand-new Walker factory-style hangers, the vacuum modulator on my TH400 went out, sucking transmission fluid into the exhaust system. I'm guessing that this added weight stressed the hangers as one side failed shortly thereafter. So I replaced the thin straps on the Walker hangers with the much thicker straps from the TA kit.
