I'm looking at a car on ebay. The owner claims it's the original color of Gulfstream Blue, which it appears to be, but the paint code given to me is 28, which I thought is Diplomat Blue. Anyone know for sure? Here is the entire tag # ST 70 43437 G 12424 BDY TR 175 28 A PNT 09C I got.

    28 is Diplomat Blue

    25 is Gulfstream Blue

Maybe the tag is being misread :Do No: :Do No:

Thanks. I'll ask the seller to check again.

Seller claims the Tag # is 28. The prior owner supposedly had it repainted original Diplomat Blue. But the seller has a paint chart and thinks it looks like Gulfstream, so do the pictures. If it was painted Gulfstream instead of Diplomat, how would that effect the value. Anyone?

should not affect the value of the vehicle as long as the colour is for that production year . the problem occurs where all the previous paint has not been either sanded off and/or not completely covered with the new colour . if the car is a concourse unit , then the paint must be the original colour when repainted .

Thanks. The pictures look great, but I'm hoping to make a trip this weekend to see the car. I just hope it's worth it.

It's a little faded, but here is a pic of mine, which is (25) gulfstream blue.

Maybe it is Diplomat Blue then. It's much darker than yours. Color charts are sometime off too. Thanks.
