    Jason,
Got a pic? The original one that was on my 70 Yellow GSX did not have one.

    Korrie,
That looks like one of the replacements that was painted silver and molded in black.

    Thanks for the paint tip!

Got a great deal on some Bilstein's a while back. Now I just need my buddy to find some time (and room at his garage) to install these and the Eaton springs I have sitting here.

I really need a house. With a garage. And a lift.....

    Brett,
Why did you mask off the shock??? The originals were painted everywhere, brackets, insulators, lower bolts etc. They almost looked like they were dipped in the paint. Just hang them and paint them.

I have original Delco spirals, Pliacells, and NOS spirals and they were all painted the same way.

The only thing not painted was the very tip of the front shocks and about 1/4" of the thread at the top.

Thanks for the info guys. I was expecting a email notice if someone responded to this thread, so I'm just seeing it now......So, can I assume it's a NOS grill? I will be selling it soon & I just don't want to list as NOS if it isn't. I got it in a trade and It came from a guy who sells NOS parts, so??? thank you again...I'm still not 100% though..haha.
    Shawn.
