    Hey Bo,
That is the same color combo my dad's Stage 1 was when he bought it back in late 69. I got my license in, first date etc. I love it. I've been trying to decide whather to paint my project silver like it came from the factory or clone our old family car. I believe your pictures made my mind up. Hope you don't mind another one running around in that combo. Thanks for posting the pics.
    John,

Thanks for the compliments guys! Thats really cool about your Dads car being the same color combo! I havent found a single picture of a GS or skylark with that combo so that makes it even cooler to me  . I have no problem with another running around with that color combo :TU: it just looks sooo good lol. If you need the paint code I used or anything just let me know I would be more than willing to help out. Was it a painted top car?

    Hey Bo,
Yes it was a painted top. A guy here on the board owns it. His family has had it since 73! He said my dad's name was still on the paperwork in the glove box. I tried to get him to sell but his family has a longer attachment to it than mine. So guess i will clone it. Again, thanks for the pictures, it made my mind up quickly. Did you use the original burgandy mist?

We first tried mixing up the original burgandy mist code but it came out lighter than the original paint that was still on the car in certain places. So we matched those spots and came up with Dupont Chroma Base 44455K-H and it turned out to be a great match to the original. :TU:

LOL I think it was some guy with a crazy last name...mullessoooo or something like that lol. The car looks soooo good Darren. I am very happy to have it back so I can start tearing apart the engine and refinishing everything. :TU:

    great color combo

Your car looks great. I have a '70 Stage 1 the same color combo, except mine had a vinyl top instead of the two tone paint. Looks alot better when it's fresh! Thanks for posting the pictures. Please post some more when you get the trim installed.

I am going to start in about a month. I have a talened buddy who is finishing up a 66 Mustang. Mine is next. We both have day jobs and wives so it will be an all winter thing. I will post pictures when we start. I'll start the thread with a before picture and hope it doesn't scare anybody.
