I wish I could have a nap. Working all night again on a utility “emergency job” the utility clowns said 10 pm. I can read them like a book. Wont show up until after midnight to ensure overtime. I won’t get out until sun up. Will be up about 26 hours by then. My crappy company thinks I am 20 not 60. So I sit here tapping on the phone.

I have a pair of original paint, factory sport mirror doors, from a 72,if you need any other specs. The passenger side bracket on mine is also held with a type of rivet. I’ve seen this same rivet used on some 71-72 442’s as well as the sheet metal screws,so maybe it was a plant thing.

I believe the rivets are correct. I thought they were goofy but I have seen them enough times now to think they were factory. Problem is so many guys have added these you need to know if car is original.

My 72 GS stage-1 convertible was original paint, interior, top, ect and the sport mirror bracket was attached by hex head screws.

The rivet gun was broken that day!

...Plant?...or maybe brackets loosened over time and replaced with screws...

All the ones I've ever removed were sheet metal screws with the exception of a 72 GS

The door that I posted a picture of is a 72 door. I don’t remember what plant that car was built.

My car is a Flint built car and very low miles... Worse mistake I made was to restore it :( I should have spotted in the original paint and left the original interior alone....
