1970 GS Stage I runs C/SA at 3635 lbs. w/driver. This is an original 70 GS 455 car with a clear title. I built this car for a customer in 2002. I bought it in 2015 and spent last winter updating it. I got to race it a few times this year, but never in good air. Best quarter mile was 10.683 @ 123.50 with 1952 DA (density altitude). Best eighth mile was 6.660 @ 100.65 with 1678 DA. If this had been a quarter mile run, the run completer shows a 10.578.
This car has lots of aluminum, titanium, and chrome-moly parts. Here is a partial listing of the brands of parts on the car.
HardBlok, Devcon, Clevite, Cometic Gaskets, SCE Gaskets, TA Peformance, Crower, JE Pistons, Speed Pro, Hayes, ATI dampner, C-Line Engineering, Brad Penn, Bullet Cams, Smith Machine, Smith Brothers, T&D Machine, Comp Cams, ATI converter and trans parts, DynoTech, Drivetrain Specialist, Mark Williams, Motive Gear, ARP, Moser, Lucas Oil, Moog, Global West, Baer Tracker, Afco, Moroso, Year One, Borgeson, UMI, Wolfe Racecraft, Air Lift, Wilwood, Earls, Weld Wheel, Hoosier, Mickey Thompson, XS Power, Accel, Powermaster, Painless Performance, MSD, Autolite, Jaz, Magnafuel, Allstar Performance, K&N, VP fuels, Kenne-Bell, Hooker, Meziere, Griffin, Spal, Racepak, Toshiba.

Asking $45,000 If interested, send PM.
    Thanks, John

    john,

the one video shows d/sa. is that just the plain 455? 10.68 is not bad. I see jason line went 10.45, .9 under the index, at indy in sept. with his.
i was with fred yoder when he set the record at 11.83 back in 1975(?) with a kenne-bell he had bought. that was fun time back then.
nhra s/ss is really hard to run and win.

    John,
This is not Lynn's silver car. He was at the NHRA Sportsnationals. He stopped by my pit area and chatted a while. I never thought to ask him about that car, but I would be surprised if he sold it!
It is great to know that Fred is still around! Seems like he brought the car to the U. S. Nationals back in the 70's. I went to the Nat's for the first time in 72 with the guy that got me into Buick.
    Thanks, John

I have seen this car in person and you will probably never find such a clean, nicely done car. Good luck with the sale John. If I had the coin you know that car would be in NY. Ronnie

Lynn's silver 71 was sold to a Chevy guy, he was on the board for awhile I thought , he builds some pretty stout Oval port BBC stuff, Scott maybe?
