70 SF Motor

    Wow, I got ripped off. Sold my SF code motor for $500 a few years ago.

    Yeah - that last SF engine I bought cost me the entirety of $90.

    If he wants to sell it as a stage 1 he better pull a head off otherwise it's a small valve motor.

    :)I do not know all the answers on Stage 1 cars or engines but 1970 should be SS code correct me if

    Yes,you are correct should be SS for Stage 1.

    Out of car so can't hear run and no confirmation of modified to Stage 1 valves means it is a standard 455, and needs rebuilding to me. I have to wait awhile but I can still buy those for $300 if I want to look hard enough. If I paid that much it better have a car attached to it!

    I got a complete one,every piece,for $500.00,and that included the freight from Fastenal.

    I bought a 1970 estate wagon for 300.00 ran Great with 68,000 miles put the motor in my 72 GS. :)

    What's wrong with an SF engine? Since they tend to be cheap. I see they are rated at 370 hp, so that's not bad.

    That's a fictional number doesn't mean squat just marketing , just a 9.8 to 1 455 with small valves and a tiny cam
