The project step child car was a numbers matching car so given that the cara is a non matching block and no correct carb its not really on par with that 69 stage car. But the 70 has more followers . I just wish my bid was still on top. I have to get a final bid from my friend on here and see where that takes us.

Louie, On photobucket just grab the "direct link", not the image code. The direct link must be placed within an "img src" code. Like this...

Just paste the direct link of your photo between the quotes where the xxx's are.

I did not know that! Thanks Don! :TU:

71-74 there on the left bank, however on a warranty service replacement I don't know if there would be any stamp ? Perhaps someone could advise .

Just spoke to my friend and he's out of the running at 9K plus. Looks to be an ok car but with the prices of a restored car and the fact that he would have to drop it off at JW's or Then and now its go t to be cheaper buy in.

B[1,2,3,or 4]E [then 4 digits ] just below the front of the driver's side head.

I have some 71 stage one service replacement blocks so the are B1E [then 4 digits] The "1" is for 1971.

I find it suprising what someone will pay for a project car.........This one will be at the BPG Stage-1 convention in a couple weeks, it IS still for sale, does have a new driver type paint job. If it doesnt sell it WILL go back to being a street/strip car with an T400 installed when it was really fun to beat on!!!

Thanks Scott. That's where we were looking. All that is there is "000".

Dont' see anything there either...unless maybe it could be on the back of the block? :Do No:

I would love to stick this car in my garage and work on it myself for the next 10 years. But presently, I dont have the means. Good luck with the sale and who knows, might be a board member that wins this one.:TU:

Any guess to what this car would have gone for if it was a ragtop? I for one didn't think it would break 10. Congrats on getting the most out of it you could! :beer

I also posted a link to this thread at the GSCA website, so I guess if they don't do their homework that is a risk they run.

Back up for sale again in 2013, looks like the "pending deal" from 2011 didn't happen (http://buickgsclubofamerica.yuku.co...ing-thanks1970-stage-1-owner-original-4-SPEED) , as the current seller has the same phone number as the above ad did.
