This is my pops car , it's been together since 2003 and is now showing some scars and whatnot but still is a blast to drive. Originally sold to an enlisted fella in NY and then spent some time overseas with him, be fore returning back to NY where it was sold a streetraced and track raced a good bit. Amazingly we have all the original drivetrain in good condition. How a 4speed BigBlock Buick lived thru all that abuse idk. Car was originally a manual brake, power steer car but we put the manual steer on it for the simple look. Car is probably 1 of less than 10 maybe even 5. Originally it was a stock appearing type build that ran pretty well 12.40s at 114mph on G60 polyglas. It's now a little more of a hot rod with the single plane, headers , carb and aluminum heads. Car gets pretty VIOLENT when you push on it so it's kinda hard to run without doing burnouts which my pop won't let me do. So I just try to ease it out and get in it as quickly as the tires will allow. Still a blast and not as rough on parts as burnouts and clutch dropping.

I'm going to be fiddling with the carb most the weekend probably, it's got a flat spot under load down low, and it's a fresh clutch so I can't be to rough on it just yet

Wonder what the 4speed gets it down to

Good question. It's not broken down that specifically, unfortunately.

Nice hot rod. I would love to have a factory BBB 4-speed car.

I had called about a black 4 speed for sale in NYC in the late 80's/early 90's. Car was disassembled, a little beat up from city use but included a bunch of new parts. When did your dad buy it?
