    Is it a 750 or an 850?

Thanks. Just curious mostly. It's on a `70 RAIII Judge that just came in the shop. The car will get restored, probably next year, and it will get the correct 7040273 carb when that happens. This 7040240 seems to work pretty well so maybe someone here will be able to use it.

Have you priced a 7040273 lately?

A decent used core, if/when you can find one will bring around $3500 if not a bit more.

99 percent of the ones you'll see for sale are "re-stamps", or mixed/matched parts, so tread very carefully in that direction so you don't get singed pretty hard on the purchase........Cliff

The first Buicks to get the 800 carburetors was in 1971, and only on the 455s. That is a 1970 455 carburetor making it a 750.

Cliff, you did the last 273 carb for us for the `70 RAIV Judge convertible, which, BTW, will be going across the Barrett-Jackson block on Saturday afternoon. It's a Pepper Green car with white top. We have a freshly restored 273 0n the shelf right now but were saving that one for another `70 Judge so if you come across one please let me know. As for the 240 carb, I might keep it for a 350 sbb which is stock except for a mild cam and TA intake.
