just got a new 2me 71 lark cust. ,and was thinking about making it a 70 clone .will the bumper and grill swap ? whats involed ? what all parts are needed to complete?
The bumper, grill, headlight bezels, hood nose piece, and the 70 grill has stainless trim that you would have to source. Got a lot of money burning a hole in your pocket?
no money . used it all starting fires last winter . but I do have a complete 70 ,so it should be a snap ?I guess the hood would have to be painted ?
I have a 70 skylark that someone put a 71 grille and bumper on, but left the 70 hood. So you may be able to leave your original hood. I'd try it for fitment before having to change and repaint the hood.
sure make life easier if I licked 71s better . really not much difference . joe blow probably thinks their the same !
Dont forget the radiator support center support and hood release mechanism, all different on a 71. Gas tank too - fuel neck is lower on the 70
