Guys, Im looking for a clean 71/72 Skylark convertible. A GS 350 vert would be nice but it may be out of my budget. Something with nice paint and no major rot. I'm looking for a nice cruiser that I can take to a local cruise night but something I wont feel bad about leaving outside with a cover on it. I would prefer no A/C. A roller is fine as I have a good 350 and a selection of transmissions available TIA!
Have my 71 GS clone up right now if something like that would interest you. Its on Ebay with plenty of pics: http://www.ebay.com/itm/181815311715 Let me know, shoot me a PM since I don't know where you would like to be when buying one.
J, Chris sent me this link this morning. It needs a good J. Cook cleaning/detailing, but may be a bargain after you beat them down. http://vancouver.craigslist.ca/rds/cto/5178078388.html
I have a 71 GS 350 convertible (real GS) needs restoration motor is out of car, have most body parts to start restoration. Color is Cortez Gold body. Saddle bench seat Interior. car was repainted to be a GSX convertible and black interior not by me. My plan is to go back to stock. To many cars no time. P.M. back if Interested . Thanks Ron
Jason, How about a 71 Red Skylark Convert with 40,000 original miles. Beth might want to kill me but it is a nice car. Here are some pics from when we first bought it. Duane
Nice car. Black interior, non A/C. I like it. Hopefully its a black top. But it looks like a really nice car. Might be out of my price range
Yeah it has a black top, and aftermarket under-dash AC (which I don't think is hooked up now), and it would be more $ then the blue one on the link. I have done a few things to it since we bought it, like putting 2 new top pistons in, and some other detail things. It still needs a new top, like it did when we bought it. I swear its the original top. The car has no rot in it anywhere. It was originally purchased in PA, then lived in Florida for like 20+ years, then came back to PA and I bought it. It needs a few things done, like rebuilding the carb, but it is a joy to drive, You can tell it's a low mileage car, you can steer it with 1 finger. Duane
That's a really nice car Duane! Looks like it should be in a museum . Too nice for what my plans would be for it. I'd ruin it!
Cousin Ajesh, Yep, it's her car not mine. I bought it as a "get out of jail free" car until her Chevelle is done. ........besides we ALL know who the boss really is. Our cats. Duane PS. What do you guys do, track me down every time I make a post?
