I’ve seen some chatter about this car, some repaint, engine work, rear end work, etc... Has anyone seen it in person? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1971-Buick-GSX-GSX/264653247769?hash=item3d9e901519:g:6XAAAOSwgFpeLO5W
Yes, it’s a non-ac car. I reached out to the seller and asked the following questions based on different threads I read on the v8 sight. Can you confirm lower 1/2 of car was painted, rear end work done and a cam installed and his rely was yes.
Frank- the Bayberry car... I WISH we still had the BPG forum. There was a great write up (with photo's) of the Bayliss car when it was in his shop.. Pics of the frame, 4 speed hump, etc. Here it is... : http://www.v8buick.com/index.php?threads/1971-gsx-4-speed.318061/
I know George, BPG and that crew, their forum..I wish that club was still intact, too. I never saw Bill's car and forgot it was a 4 spd. I saw this and the color, the look, I thought it was the same car.
Yup on all the above, Frank! There was a 3 or so page discussion about the Bayliss car... complete with frame pics, etc, etc. All valuable info.
Not the same car Gord. The $29K car is the one with dog dish hubcaps and saddle interior. The one Fred is talking about is the one I have been researching, where you said that if I fix the paint I should do the frame-off at the same time. Cheers
I found this which provides some additional details from a previous seller. http://www.hamiltonspeedshop.com/71-gsx/
I know, I was thinking the same thing. I went on Marco's site to look for the amount made, but did not see it. It's just a really nice color for that car. It's not the only nice color, but it's cool.
