I took my graphics of my original 71 Stage-1 tune-up decal to a printer today to see about having it made. Unfortunately it was pretty steep as they will have to make about 75-100 labels. I know several here have expressed interest but to justify the expense I have to put out I was trying to see how many would actually want one. I know we are dealing with a very limited number of cars here so maybe I would have to get $10 bucks apiec for them and probably still lose my shirt. These are not the cheap vinly labels that rub off but are high qaulity paper with a clear laminate as original in 71. Let me know otherwise may seek other options.

I have a '71 non-stage 4-speed and I'm pretty sure a repro label does not exist. My original is in good enough shape to get a good image from. Is there any opportunity in grouping a run of these in with yours? Or do the economics not work that way?

Might be cost prohibitive as price for waht I have is pretty high. Guy still has not given me price, Guess he does not want my money may look for another printer.

OK, I finally got my quote from a printer. Pretty expensive to say the least. Here is what I got.

To print 25 cost is $13.00 each

    50 cost is $6.50 each

    75 cost is $4.33 each

    100 cost is $3.25 each

    200 cost is $2.02 each

If you do the math it all ads up to $325 bucks except for the 200 which is $400. There is also a $75 dollar set-up fee which would be an even $400 investment by me. So I guess the 100 units makes most sense. Would everyone here interested in these be willing to pay $20 a piece for these and maybe $30 total if you buy two? I would still be losing money but have many extras as it looks as if I would sell only ten or so here. I just want to get these done even if it costs me a some cash. I may try other printers as well for another estimate.

yearone post a repro,is theres not correct?if so can you post a picture of the correct label.someone on here told me the correct ones dont say "stage 1"........can someone set the record straight?

Dreesh, that is correct. The true Stage-1 Decal does NOT say Stage-1 on it only "BG" for a code. That is the way I am making it like my original. The repro is also a vinyl like material that is not very resistant to engine fluids /grease etc. I am making this one with a more resistant mylar coating as original which will hopefully stand up to the rigors of use. If someone gives me their email I can send picture and maybe you could post here. For some reason I can no longer post pictures here. Not from photobucket or my computer and it is maddening. How does everyone else do it? I also have picture of bogus looking repro.
