I'm curious as well. The 72's just don't seem to garner the same attention the 70's do but maybe the overall Buick exposure from the last few weeks will change that.

This has been listed before - and rather recently. I think Craigslist.

As an aside: mention of two key components is never made. The 7042242 Q-Jet and 1112016 distributor. Now, maybe potential bidders are supposed to glean that from the listing but if it's me, clear pictures of both hard to find and expensive parts are part of the auction.

But that's just me....I'll be watching nonetheless.

Not even an underhood pic.? The guy did say he'd check any numbers though. If I was serious & couldn't fly down I'd at least see if a board member could check it. Shame the Flame Orange isn't quite right. I understand it's a wicked color when done right and will more or less change from different angles.

I am not far from this car based on the eBay location disclosure. I could get some pics of numbers if someone was serious about it.

I'd venture a guess that the reserve is somewhere around $33K ish.

Everything about the car looks good, but no real mention of any matching numbers or stage only parts. So I must assume that is the real reason bidding is stagnant. :Do No: Or has the value of our cars dropped that low?:puzzled: I can't believe that, however I've been on the sidelines for 7-8 years...

    No, Dan.

I feel like it's actually gone up in the last few months.

The ambiguity of this listing might be why bidding has slowed. I would have approached it differently but that's just me.

    I guess time will tell...

Aren't their supposed to be GS markings on the interior?

I believe that the '72 standard interior would have had 'GS' door emblems, but the '72 custom level (extra cost - upgraded upholstery, trim and door panels) interior did not have the emblems.

Correct! :Smarty: No GS emblems with that interior. I can see how someone would think that it should because the upscale interiors in the prior years had GS emblems on the door panels

Wish it was closer to FL! Still waiting for the seller to send me engine, trunk and undercarriage photos.

72 had no door panel emblems even on the std panels. 71 yes. 70 yes

I guess we have our answer on the reserve.

With the car being somewhat rough, having two different paint colors, no working A/C and being pictured as such I am curious what a fair price would be.

I should note that the vehicle did not sell before the listing expired.
