I'm considering a running, but still a project (affordable) convertible to replace my 70 custom convertible. Anybody close enough to check this one out? Thanks, Tom http://www.oldride.com/classic_cars/848312.html
My company delivers past this area twice a week, distance is about an hour and a half or so. When the snow stops I'd love to look at it for you. Eric
I looked at the car 6 weeks ago. Solid frame, body rough, needs quarters, trunk, probably trunk lid, partial floor pans, door work and fender work, radiator support. Top works but will have to be replaced, good glass window. Car is running,(I do not believe motor is original) but 3rd gear out of trans. Coil springs are collapsed, PS, Disc PB, Air (missing compressor), Power windows, locks, cruise, green interior (fair). Has 71 air cleaner. Good part, car complete, new exhaust, looks like shocks also, nice owner, willing to negotiate. Just too much for me to tackle with my son. Hope this helps.
Great info Samdad. What made you suspicious of the engine? It's quite a bit of work without the numbers matching engine! - Tom
blue intake manifold and no code on block, just numbers. I have pics that I could email to you if you want.
Samdad, I appreciate the offer for the pics but w/out the matching engine I think I'll pass. Thanks, Tom
