Hello and Best of Luck on the sale. I bet it is hard to let this all go. I wish I had the option right now to take it and finish it but I don't.

Please do not be offended, but I had a hard time reading through the ad. I copied it and took it upon myself to gently edit it so I could get through it easier. I am posting it below for you and others. Again, Best of Luck and I hope you get what you need ut of it.

    See Below:

Due to economic times and not going to have the shop space, Im forced to sell my 1972 Buick skylark convertible that is being built as a 455 4speed GS with OEM GS parts and a pretty complete 72 skylark rolling parts car.

I started a frame off rotisserie resto 4.5 yrs ago and for the last 2 yrs the project has had to sit. The car is a 72 skylark custom convert with factory ac, the car body is on the rotisserie, it has been sand blasted and I replaced both rear quarters because of the usual rust in the wheel wells. The car has original floor pans, trunk pan and are excellent, no rust, and the best 70s convert body and frame I have ever seen.

Here is what I have and whats been done:
OEM 4speed pedals, firewall boot and rod with z bar, 4speed bell housing and TA Performance billet flywheel
Factory GS snorkel air cleaner in great condition
Factory GS ram air steel hood with inserts, no rust, very good.
Super nice factory 72 GS grille
New in the box NOS Stage1 badges
Very nice factory am fm radio & prof. restored factory 8 track
Very nice restored floor shift tilt column
    OEM 4speed speedometer and clock
Fresh triple plated n25 rear bumper and a very nice stock bumper

1972 455 motor minus heads and intake perf. built. Motor was out of my other GS with only 1800 miles. The engine made 393 hp and 466 ft.lbs at the rear wheels and has the dyno sheet for it. The heads were 68cc iron stage1 heads with a B4B intake, MSD, and 850 demon carb. I have a set of 70 date coded 68cc heads to go with and a complete 72 455 short block.

The chassis has been sand blasted and powder coated- complete, rolling with pro. built 12 bolt rear posi with new axels bearings, ring & pinion Richmond 3.73 gears, new Eaton posi, TA Perf. girdled rear cover. Ii have $3 grand just in the rear-end.

All chassis components are brand new; rear springs, gas coil over shocks, Edelbrock no hops, new upper and lower boxed control arms neoprene bushed, sway bar, rear brakes and drums, front center link, tie rods, ball joints, springs, gas shocks, neoprene bushed upper and lower a arms,1-1/8 front sway bar.

It has complete new disc brake system; booster , calipers, pads, brake lines, prop valve etc.
New frame brake and fuel lines.
New wire harness for A/C car
    New rear spoiler.

All new components and quarter panels came from The Parts Place. I have well over $5 grand just in the chassis.

The new centerlines with new slicks and pizza cutters go with it.

This is a pretty complete car with a lot of money already spent. The convert top frame is excellent and I have all components along with all the A/C parts and components.

I dont want to part out and I know what these parts are worth and are hard to come by. This would be an awesome car just needs someone to finish it. There is just too much info to list.

I am looking for a reasonable offer for everything. If interested please call Kirk 509-991-1068. I have a lot of pics on request I can e-mail.

Thanks Moleary, that was so cool!. I see your from Wa. state, right on. The car you posted was totally my dream. I had a 72 gs 455 factory 4speed car I had to say goodbye to in Aug. and always wanted it in a ragtop. The motor build is the same except the block is 40 over and 10.5.1 with the deck and 68cc heads. Sad to say dreams come and go especially with the times we are in. Would love to see someone from the board take it over. Thanks again! Kirk.

OK, that's what I thought but wanted to be sure.

Having done all the work to my '70 by myself, I know what it takes to finish it especially starting with what I started with. To see where your car is in the process, I would love to finsih it. It will be a very nice ride one day.

Again, best of luck and sorry to see it go.
