If anyone needs anything please let me know. The car has plenty of good sheet metal and trim items left that are still in good condition.
Looks like the heads have been redone. You should get the timing cover...good resale item. Tilt column should be a resale item. I would check for power trunk....hot item to sell.
to answer your question David, I would have liked to put it back on the road if I was able to obtain the vehicle before it was sold to the junkyard. The car was donated to a local charity but the charity wanted too much money for a non running vehicle with a lot of missing parts and rear body damage IMO. I offered more than they received from the junkyard.
I would also grab the 3 piece trunk trim. I know I searched everywhere trying to find a set for mine!
Hello: When you have a moment, can you let me know how much the complete set of door panels (front door) would be, as well as the windlace that goes between the door and the back panel. Also, do you have access to cut the foot rest area for the rear passenger foot section? Mine is rusted out and would think this one is rust free. Thank you. Christian Chacon 2mnykars
Thats a shame.. looks like it could drive out (except for the missing engine parts) but a nice car still. Here's an opportunity for you to make some money... I see the following that you could sell easily The heads to appear to have been done recently. You can sell a good timing cover for $75 or more so grab that if you can and maybe make some coin. Grab the distributor and make yourself a priming tool by cutting it down. Bumper impact strips (at least the front) look decent, someone will pay for a non rusted/swelled up example The dipstick and 2 pieces of the tube are always a good re-sale item exhaust manifolds and heat sheilds, espeically if the elusive motor mount sheild on the passenger side is there. coolant bypass hose looks to be good, still with a sticker on it valve covers - might get $20 on a resale X brases in front of the radiator - seem to be a sought after item Test the clock, could be an easy sale too
Hello: My email address is hastalas15@hotmail.com in regard to the parts request above. Thank you Christian
Centurion fender badges are always needed. They break easily and you end up with "Centurio" badges. If these are intact they'll sell quickly on the Centurion board. The 455 badges are a '73 only item and also very desirable. They have a different shape than the GS badges and the 455 was standard in '71 and '72 so didn't have 455 badges. Those are general quick sell items. If the rubber filler between the bumper and trunk is intact I'd love to buy them through you. I don't need these urgently, you can grab them on your next trip. Please, let me know if they are there and in reasonable shape. Thanks, John
Hi, I purchased Mike Sobotkas 73 Centurion formal coupe and own a 72 Centurion formal coupe. Unfortunately what I need is bigger, heavier stuff. For Mikes car I don't need much but his dash pad does have a crack in it. I am not sure about the one in this car. If good, and you think you can get it out without inducing a crack (whihc happens a lot) then I would be interested in the dash pad. Both my 72 and 73 have bad pads. I would buy that grille as aback up. Once all the Cenution grilles are gone they are gone and I will likely buy a convertible at some point. Like one other poster, my floors in the 72 Centurion are bad and I would take cut outs from good solid floor material in the front pans and trunk pans. I would even buy the trunk 'lip'. I should add photos. My 72 is a glorified parts car but I am going to save it. As other have said pull all Centurion badges and resell them. Thanks Bryan Moran
Hello, How about the body side moulding, right front inner fender, Centurion emblems, rear foot wells from floor pan or more, doors, possible radiator support. Let me know what you think?? Thanks Jim:TU:
In relooking at the photos and knowing my interest in Centurions, I would purchase the grille and headlight surrounds if not too difficult to get out. I had a 73 convertible (could kill myself for selling it) that sat in a damp barn for 20+ years but only had 55,000 miles and the pot metal (grille and headlamp surrounds) was badly pitted. If no one has stepped forward and purchased then I would buy the interior door panels as back ups. That dash fascia (woodgrained) looks nice int he photos - would take that. My seats are fabric and I am too far away as it is to ship but SOMEONE should buy that 40/60 seat set up it looks like you just need to clean and go. abc.moran@netzero.net Prices including shipping will get a response. Thanks Bryan Moran BCA 28571
roadmaster49 what is your location? The door panels are gone, the headlamp bezels are badly pitted, the grille has some pits but not to bad. The wood grain pieces are still there as of Friday.I need your location for a total price.
