I didn't make any slugs or any fillers. There isn't a lot of linier (front to rear) force on the cross shafts where they mount to the frame. If tightened properly I don't see any way they would move. If you think of the force involved, even when coming down hard from a wheelie, etc. the force can only be delivered via the upper ball joint which is in triangulation to the two bolts. I don't see any force that could be delivered in that manner that would move them. Even a hard blow would tend to "push" on one of the mounting bolts while "pulling" on the other.

Not that it couldn't be done, just for that extra safety factor. Making a crescent shaped filler piece and bonding it in place would be do-able. And you're correct, there are many factors beside castor angle that come into play when considering high speed stability! It's just one piece of the puzzle.

Torqued, I just watched your video three times, I must say "It pretty bad butt." If you have double adjustable upper and lower control arms, you can make it go faster on what you have already, just by limiting the wheel stand. A good friend of mine said no he couldn't get a better time if he limited his wheelly, he ran 9.50's last year in the beginning then had a pro come in and showed him what to do. Mid-summer he ran 9.30's on his worn out engine. He only pulls the front wheels a foot and half for 61 ft then it getts really busy.
