I'm sure this is beyond a long shot but seeing if anyone has a 9" housing, maybe with axles, center section???? to fit and be a direct bolt in to 72 a body. I'm really doubt there is one sitting around doing nothing that someone might he interested in selling. but never hurts to ask
Where are you?? I know of a complete 9 in set up for a GM G body, the spring perches would need to be moved ( easy)... Gary G in So, Cal..
who me.......its always my luck... do I dare ask why? badbuik....I think the gbody is also narrower, which will force to either get wheels or run spacers......neither of which I want to do. by the time i get wheels i can just get a housing to fit.
If you were closer... I have another one that I narrowed, for a GM A body (a 72 Skylark that I have) new axles, even the right offset aluminum rims.... Oh well... Good luck....
Call Mike, they will hook you up. You can customize it also. I went with 35 spline axles and heavier duty options, 1/2 studs, aluminum Yukon center section...etc... Over all, much lighter, stronger and badass. Whip out a credit carts and three boxes will show up to your door, or, you can pick it up and save some $. https://www.quickperformance.com/9-Ford-Complete-Rearend-GM-A-Body-68-72_p_20386.html
already got that price quote from them......something like 2300ish give a take a few hundred cause my memory sucks with numbers. that was back brace, good al center w/ through bolts 35 spline axles and pinion, pro gear.....etc the only way I could swing it now would be to sell my 8.5 first, just put 30 spline new spool, new moser axles, bearings, 4.10, TA cover, arp studs inside complete new everything minus the yoke. and in s few days it will have brackets welded on for wilwood disc brakes.........its not looking line the moser 30 splines are up to the task....trying to get them to give me new ones seeing this all has less than 20 passes with half being babied as shake down passes. other options is to only drop 1000 and go 33 spline in my 8.5. but seeing I just did that 20 passes ago the 2000 total gets me almost to the 9".... so figured I would try my luck to see if there was a needle in the hatstack. those that have the qp 9" how are you liking them.....how are the holding up....what kind of 60' time and race weight are you doing?
I had a Moser 9” housing with 35-spline axles. I added the back brace, fill and drain plugs, and had it powder-coated. I never did assemble it. Never needed to. I had it for sale on here, and didn’t get any interest. I sold it locally to a friend.
never saw it for sale.....I wont even post myself off and ask how much. maybe your friend wants to sell it
My boss is selling his complete 9” rear w modular center and 3.73 gears. Wilwood brakes. Let me know and I will send you his number. I put an ad here. Speak to him and work out a deal. Chris
