I am looking sure how to explain what I need properly but I am looking for the set up that makes the hood pop up when the release is activated. I have the spring on the hood now but I believe I am missing the spring base that comes into contact with the radiator upper support cover.
i think that was still with the 71 sedan parts car in el paso last time i was there. remember looking at the radiator support, trying to figure if it was worth buying. (had some cancer under battery tray area) remember i unbolted latch support from rad support and threw it in the trunk. if you cant find one sooner i may be going mid week next week. dave las cruces
That's all there is to it- just the spring. The spring rests against the radiator support top plate and makes a nice letter "E" mark in the paint
find one of those fridge magnets - the ones that usually have a car picture on it. peel the image layer and place the mag portion on the rad support where the spring makes contact upon closure of the hood. saves the paint.
